Ft. Lauderdale Hosts Exxxotica Convention
FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Exxxotica, the weekend-long convention "dedicated to love and sex," is underway in Ft. Lauderdale.
The event is taking place at the Broward County Convention center from May 31st through June 2nd.
This is the first time the city of Ft. Lauderdale is hosting the event.
The convention is a huge gathering of porn offerings featuring products, services and seminars from both adult and mainstream industries.
The event, since its inception in 2006, has on average 20,000 people in attendance per weekend.
In addition to the Ft. Lauderdale convention, there was another three day event in Atlantic City held earlier this year in April and one planned for mid-July in Chicago.
Among the appearances, "Teen Mom" reality star turned sex tape newbie Farrah Abraham is at the South Florida convention.
At the event, Abraham will take pictures with fans at the CLUB Spotlight booth sponsored by CLUB magazine. She will also be signing copies of her recent sex tape, "Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom."
The 70-minute explicit video of the former Iowa cheerleader co-stars porn megastar James Deen and has drawn mainstream and industry attention alike.
When it was first published online, the video was seen by more than two million visitors in the first 12 hours, which surpassed the infamous Kim Kardashian sex tape.
The weekend's event roster includes over 100 A-list adult stars in addition to Abraham, including Alexis Texas, Lisa Ann, Gianna Michaels, Teagan Presley, Lexi Belle, Allie Haze, Kimberly Kane, Kristina Rose, Bonnie Rotten, Tanya Tate, Evan Stone, Tasha Reign, Andi San Dimas, Ryan Driller, Charmane Star, Kaylani Lei, Jynx Maze, Rubberdoll, Misty Stone, Joanna Angel and Ron Jeremy.
