Four Heat Players Make All-Star Ballot
MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – It's a foregone conclusion that each time the NBA All-Star ballot comes out, the Miami Heat's Big Three will be on it. This year they're joined by another Heat player on the ballot, Joel Anthony.
Anthony made the ballot for the first time in his career. He is one of 12 centers named on the ballot for the Eastern Conference.
While Anthony is undersized at his position, he has improved his shooting this season and has made it a specialty of his to block shots.
LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwyane Wade all made the ballot for the Eastern Conference. James and Wade are likely starters alongside Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose and Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard.
It would leave one open spot that could go to either Bosh or New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony or center Amar'e Stoudemire.
The NBA All-Star game will be held February 26 at the Amway Center in Orlando and air live on TNT.
