Former Cane Durand Scott To Play In Spain
CORAL GABLES, Fla. (CBSMiami/AP) — Last year, Durand Scott helped lead the University of Miami Hurricanes basketball team deep into the NCAA Tournament and an ACC Championship.
Scott will now be taking his game overseas to play professional basketball in Spain. The former Hurricane will play next season for Blusens Mondbus Obradoiro.
Scott, the 2013 Atlantic Coast Conference defensive player of the year, also received offers from teams in both Italy and Germany.
Scott helped the Hurricanes win the league title and conference tournament this year, and he set a school career record by playing in 132 games.
