Sunday FLPD Event Offers Safe Disposal Of Unwanted Medicines

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Do you have medicine you no longer need? The city will take them off your hands and safely dispose of them, freeing up space in your medicine cabinet and ensuring kids and visitors don't take them.

The city's medication take-back event is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at 301 N. Andrews Ave.

For those who can't make the event, there is also a secure drop-box for unwanted medicines in the lobby of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, 1300 W. Broward Blvd., which is open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
