Florio on Tannehill Contract: 'Bird in the Hand'
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
That's the way Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio is looking at Ryan Tannehill's potentially lucrative extension with the Miami Dolphins.
"From the Dolphins' standpoint, it's a bird in the hand from the perspective of they have a quarterback that could become a franchise quarterback," Florio said on the Joe Rose Show. "Ryan Tannehill was on my radio show -- PFT Live -- yesterday and he said essentially he is not a franchise quarterback yet. This contract is a step along the path to becoming a franchise quarterback."
