Florida's October Jobless Rate To Be Announced
TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/AP) — Will Florida's jobless figures be better or worse than last month? We'll find out Friday when the state's October unemployment rate will be released.
Florida's rate had dropped from 12 percent at the end of last year to 10.6 percent in September. But throughout 2011 the state's rate has remain significantly higher than the national figure.
Federal officials previously announced that nation's unemployment rate nudged down by a tenth of a percentage point to 9 percent in October.
Even though Florida's rate went down over the year, nearly a million people remained jobless across the state in September.
