Florida Supreme Court To Hear Cases On Red-Light Cameras
TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami) – The Florida Supreme Court has agreed to hear arguments about the legality of local red-light camera ordinances.
The cases coming to the court come from Aventura and Orlando.
According to the Florida News Service, Justices will consider different positions taken by two appeals courts.
The 3rd District Court of Appeals upheld Aventura's red-light camera ordinance, while the 5th DCA rejected Orlando's ordinance because it claimed the measure conflicts with state laws.
Arguments are scheduled for November 7th.
