Florida Democrats To Hold Annual Dinner
HOLLYWOOD (AP) — Florida Democrats will make their case for the 2014 elections without any candidates to rally around.
The Florida Democratic Party is hosting its annual fundraising dinner Saturday night without any statewide candidates on the speaking list.
Not that there are many candidates to invite. Former Sen. Nan Rich is the only credible Democrat who has announced plans to run next year. She's hoping to challenge Gov. Rick Scott, but wasn't asked to speak.
Former Republican Gov. Charlie Crist is thinking of running for his former seat as a Democrat and 2010 nominee Alex Sink is considering another run, but neither has announced plans.
And so far no Democrats have stepped up to seek any of the three Cabinet seats on the ballot.
