Florence Is No More In Atlantic
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Florence, at one time a tropical storm in the eastern Atlantic, has lost its punch and dissipated below tropical depression strength as it moves across the Atlantic Ocean.
The storm weakened to a tropical depression by 5 a.m. Monday morning and by 11 a.m. had dissipated to a post-tropical low pressure system.
At 8:00 a.m. Monday, the low pressure area was located about 1515 miles east of the Northern Leeward Islands.
It's moving west at 15 mph.
The National Hurricane Center said the system fill further weaken over the next 48 hours and there will be no further statements issued on Florence.
