PALM BEACH COUNTY (CBSMiami) -- The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for the Palm Beaches ahead of heavy showers and thunderstorms.
More rain is expected to cover the same area hit hard Friday afternoon with between 2 and 4 inches of rain.
A flood watch is in effect for the coastal, inland and metro parts of Palm Beach until 2 a.m. Saturday.
The additional heavy rainfall could lead to significant flooding of streets, urban areas and low-lying flood-prone areas near small canals or creeks through the evening.
Those living in these areas should prepare to take action should flooding develop.
