Flood Of Trouble In Fla. City Neighborhood
FLORIDA CITY (CBSMiami) – As Tropical Storm Isaac moves away from South Florida, some residents of a Florida City trailer park were left behind with a flood of trouble.
The storm dumped a large amount of rain in the area and at the Southern Comfort Trailer Park, while the damage wasn't deep, the water sure was.
People in the trailer park did not follow recommendations to evacuate. Residents said they watched every minute of the coverage to try and decide when and if to abandon ship.
"It actually wasn't bad at all," said Susan Stafford. "We were worried about going home and now we are going to stay here because we will be better off here then up in the Pensacola area where it's supposed to hit."
Stafford said she has someone boarding up her home in Pensacola right now.
Florida City had some reported downed power lines so residents should be extra cautious if they walk or drive through any standing water.
