Flipper Predicts 2014 Discover Orange Bowl Winner
MIAMI (CBSMiami) —Flipper the Dolphin predicted the winner of the 2014 Discover Orange Bowl to be the Clemson Tigers.
The logos of the Clemson Tigers and Ohio State Buckeyes were placed on two balls that were suspended above Flipper's pool at the Miami Seaquarium.
Flipper jumped from the water and kicked the ball of the Clemson Tigers.
Obie, the Orange Bowl's official mascot and The Orange Bowl President and Chair Andrew Hertz witnessed the prediction.
The Orange Bowl and Miami Seaquarium are both celebrating milestones. The 2014 Discover Orange Bowl marks the 80th Orange Bowl game. The Miami Seaquarium is commemorating 50 years since the first broadcast of the popular TV series "Flipper" which was originally shot at their location in Miami.
The 2014 Discover Orange Bowl takes place at Sun Life Stadium January 3, 2014.
