Fla. GOP Primary Candidates Finalized
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (CBSMiami.com) – The GOP field is set for next January's Republican Presidential primary in Florida.
On Monday, the final list of candidates was released. It contained the same nine names who appeared at the Presidency 5 debate held last month in Orlando.
The nine who will be on the ballot include: Michele Bachmann; Herman Cain; Newt Gingrich; Jon Huntsman; Gary Johnson; Ron Paul; Rick Perry; Mitt Romney; and Rick Santorum.
After the Orlando debate, Cain was vaulted into the front-runner status thanks to a straw poll victory of 2,700 party delegates.
Florida Democrats only submitted one name: President Barack Obama.
Florida's primary is set for January 31 and will be the fourth in the nation after Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.
