Five Injured In Disney Bus Crash
ORLANDO (CBS4) - Five people were injured early Monday morning when a Walt Disney World bus and a tractor trailer collided.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the Disney's Magical Express bus was on Boggy Creek Road in Orlando when the accident happened. The injured, which included the bus driver, were taken to a local hospital; their injuries were described as non-life threatening.
The bus involved in the crash takes people back and forth to Orlando International Airport.
Last December, a 69-year old visitor from Massachusetts was killed after he walked in front of a bus at the Walt Disney World Resort.
According to the FHP, Robert Krueger stepped in front of the bus in the parking lot at the Port Orleans resort. He was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he died.
FHP investigators said Krueger was not in the crosswalk and the bus, driven by 57-year-old Rosemary Kincaid, had the right of way. There were passengers on the bus, but no one was injured.
In April 2010, a St. Petersburg boy was hit and killed by a bus while riding his bike at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort campground.
