Fisher Decision Coming Soon
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins continue to sit in limbo as they await a decision from Jeff Fisher as to whether he will take the Dolphins' head coaching job.
Fisher, according to Armando Salguero from CBS4 news partner Miami Herald, is expected to decide which team he will select on Wednesday.
Fisher will not be announced as a head coach, but will begin contract negotiations with one of the teams, according to Salguero.
According to Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network, Fisher appears to be leaning towards picking the Dolphins.
The deciding factor, according to Lombardi and ESPN's Chris Mortensen, is the possibility the Rams may move to Los Angeles.
Fisher helped the Tennessee Titans move from Houston to Tennessee, and doesn't want to go through that again.
The former Tennessee Titans head coach is the hottest and most experienced coach left in the NFL's annual coaching carousel.
The Dolphins made no secret of the fact they wanted Fisher early on in the interview process.
Ross rolled out the red carpet for Fisher, including bringing him in on Ross' private helicopter.
Reports have also trickled out that Ross has made it known that he will not be outbid financially for Fisher's services.
Fisher has compiled a career record of 142-120 in a 17 year head coaching career. His Titans went to the Super Bowl once and made six trips to the playoffs during his time in Tennessee.
He was let go by the Titans after he clashed with former quarterback Vince Young and owner Bud Adams.
