MIAMI (CBSMiami) – While it's still a ways away from being built, the first images of Miami Beckham United's proposed South Florida soccer stadium have been made public.
The rendering was part of a presentation made by David Beckham's team at the first town hall meeting regarding the stadium back on December 17th.
CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald has the full presentation slideshow, which can be found here.
The rendering of the partially covered stadium shows how it will look in the Overtown neighborhood that the group has targeted to build at.
Tim Leiweke, one of the partners in Beckham's group, has said that the rendering came from the original plans to build the stadium in Little Havana next to Marlins Park.
Leiweke also said that the group used the rendering to show that the stadium would also fit on the two-block area in Overtown that they are hoping is the future home of Beckham's MLS team.
The actual stadium could end up looking different than the rendering as it's only an initial design.
