First Lady Michelle Obama Returns To Sunshine State
NAPLES (CBSMiami/AP) — First Lady Michelle Obama is coming back to the Sunshine State with a stop in southwest Florida.
The White House says Obama will be greeted at the Naples Municipal Airport Friday afternoon by students from two elementary schools. Students from one of the schools won a University of Florida gardening competition. At the other school, students started a running club to promote physical fitness.
Both schools participate in the Florida Farm to School program to provide students with seasonal, fresh produce from local farmers. The efforts drew recognition from Obama, whose "Let's Move!" initiative urges children to eat healthy and exercise.
Later Obama will meet privately with campaign volunteers from the Naples area and speak at a campaign event.
