Fire Extinguished On Royal Caribbean's Grandeur of the Seas
MIAMI (CBS4) – Passengers aboard Royal Caribbean's Grandeur of the Seas got an unexpected wake up call early Monday morning.
The cruise line said the ship was headed to CocoCay, Bahamas when a fire broke out in the mooring area of deck three around 3 a.m.
As a precautionary measure, the ship's captain instructed all passengers to go to their assembly stations as crew members put the fire out.
No guests or crew members were injured.
Royal Caribbean officials said the ship has full power and will continue on as scheduled.
The Grandeur of the Seas, which departed from Baltimore, is on a seven day cruise which includes stops in Port Canaveral, CocoCay and Nassau, Bahamas.
