Fins Welcome In Buffalo Sunday
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (CBSMiami.com) – Miami Dolphins fans haven't been able to say this in a long time, but the team is threatening to go on a bonafide winning streak.
The Fins will welcome in the quickly sinking Buffalo Bills to the unfriendly confines of Sun Life Stadium this Sunday. The Dolphins are riding high after dominating the Kansas City Chiefs and Washington Redskins in successive weeks.
The Fins' resurgence has been led by a stifling defense that was on full display in the two victories. The Fins' defense is allowing just 6 points per game over the two victories and generated two turnovers against the Redskins.
The offense is letting the defense run away without them though. Riding the arm of Matt Moore and the legs of Reggie Bush, the Fins offense is averaging 25.5 points per game over the last two weeks.
Moore's play hasn't been horrible, but he's finally starting to connect with his receivers, most notably Brandon Marshall and tight end Anthony Fasano. Moore has thrown four touchdowns to his five interceptions on the season.
Reggie Bush has also finally found his legs in the Dolphins offense. For the season, he's averaging 4.6 yards per carry for the season and has also caught 28 passes for 168 yards.
The only problem facing the Dolphins may be the kicking game. Starting kicker Dan Carpenter was listed as questionable with a right groin injury. The Fins worked out kickers on Friday in preparation for Sunday's game against the Bills.
The gameplan for the Fins will be simple, stop the best running back in the league. Buffalo's Fred Jackson has run for 917 yards this season and 6 touchdowns on the season. He's rushed for more than 100 yards in every game except three this season.
The Dolphins game can be seen on CBS4 at 1:00 p.m Sunday.
