Fins Open Season At Houston, Host Raiders In Home Opener
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – We already know which teams the Miami Dolphins will be playing in 2012, but now fans finally have the dates to go with those games as the NFL is set to release its regular season schedule.
The Dolphins will play eight opponents at home this season including: the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Oakland Raiders, St. Louis Rams, and Seattle Seahawks.
The toughest games among that group will likely be Patriots, Bills, Jets, and Seahawks.
The Dolphins will go on the road to play: the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Bengals, Arizona Cardinals, and San Francisco 49ers.
The road schedule is obviously much, much tougher for the Fins. The matchups with the Texans, Bengals, and 49ers will all be tough games for Miami, not to mention the Jets, Patriots, and possibly a much-improved Bills squad.
Looking at the schedule, assuming the Fins improve the roster in the draft, the team can likely beat the Jaguars, Raiders, Rams, Colts, and Cardinals. The Fins could possibly have a good chance at a victory over the Bills and Jets, but likely losses could include the 49ers, Bengals, Texans, and Patriots.
Miami was 6-10 last season after starting off 0-7. The Dolphins draft eighth in the first round in the 2012 NFL Draft.
