Fins Reveal Preseason Opponents
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins aren't even finished with free agency and the draft is still a few weeks away, but we now know who the Fins will play during the 2013 preseason.
The Fins agreed to play in the annual Hall of Fame game this year, which is the first game of the year each season. The teams that play in that game will also have five preseason games instead of the normal four games.
Miami will take on Dallas in the Hall of Fame Game on August 4 with a kick time around 8 p.m.
The rest of the games haven't been assigned dates, but we do know the opponents. The Fins will play Jacksonville on the road in Week 2 and follow that up with a game on the road against the Houston Texans in Week 3.
The Fins will play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New Orleans Saints in Weeks 4 and 5 respectively to close out the preseason.
CBS4 will be the exclusive preseason home of the Miami Dolphins in South Florida with the exception of the Hall of Fame game.
According to CBS4 news partner the Miami Herald, the Fins agreed to the extra game because the team is young and Coach Joe Philbin wanted extra time. The Dolphins had also wanted to not play any team in the preseason they face in the regular season, but the Fins do play the Saints on the road in the regular season.
