Fins Owner J-Lo On Team's Failures: "Um."
MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – When Stephen Ross took over the Miami Dolphins; he made it a priority to try to lure as many celebrities as he could to Fins games.
Since then the Fins franchise has turned into the laughing stock of the NFL and celebrities will only show up if a marquee opponent is in town.
One of the Fins' part owners, Jennifer Lopez, was celebrated when she bought into the team. But after a 0-5 start, Lopez is not saying much.
Lopez was giving satellite interviews talking about her Kohl's clothing line when CBS4 asked as a final question what she thought of the 2011 Dolphins. Lopez's reply, "Um," and then the feed was disconnected before anything else was said.
The stumbling reply summed up how Ross' initial focus on celebrities and building a nightclub inside Sun Life Stadium while letting the franchise decay into the miserable team that even the most hardened Dolfans can no longer stand to watch.
