Finally Feels Like December Across S. Florida
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – South Florida is finally beginning to feel a lot like Christmas – oh wait – it's a little late for that isn't it. Despite the warm muggy temperatures South Florida has been feeling the past few days, we're finally chilling out.
Wednesday morning, South Floridians woke up to cooler, breezy weather thanks to a cold front now to our south. Inland temperatures Wednesday morning were in the mid to upper 50s and near the coast the low 60s. Our average low this time of year is 62-degrees.
Wednesday afternoon highs will only be in the low 70s. Our average high is 77 degrees.
With high pressure to our north, South Florida will remain dry, sunny and breezy.
Wednesday night into Thursday morning, it'll get even colder with temperatures forecast to drop into the upper 40s inland and low 50s along the coast. By Thursday afternoon, it'll gradually warm up but temperatures will still struggle to hit the mid 70s with abundant sunshine.
There will still be a bit of a chill in the air on Friday morning and then highs will begin to climb slightly. The beach breeze sticks around through the weekend and by Saturday, New Year's Eve, high temperatures are expected to be in the mid 70s and lows in the low to mid 60s.
