Feds Arrest Florida Woman For Sexual Exploitation Of A Child
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A Florida woman suspected of being a child pornographer and at the center of a nationwide search has been captured.
According to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Corine Danielle Motley, 25, was arrested by HIS Pensacola special agents and NW Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force members late Wednesday night.
The arrest came just hours after HIS issued a public appeal for assistance to identify "Jane Doe."
"The quick identification of the victim and suspect in this case demonstrates the power of the press, social media and the general public in helping solve these cases," said ICE Director John Morton. "Literally hours after we asked the public for their assistance in identifying Jane Doe, a tip came in that led to her identification and arrest. There is nothing more satisfying than knowing that, due to these efforts, a child is now safe and her tormentor now in custody."
Officials said Motley is believed to have produced at least one long-form child pornography video featuring herself engaging in explicit sexual conduct with a 4 to 6-year-old victim.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children says the victim has not been identified.
Motley is being held in the Escambia County Jail without bond.
Danish National Police, who downloaded the video in Denmark, contacted HIS because they believed the video was produced in the U.S. Investigators believe the video was posted on the Internet for the first time Nov. 27.
This investigation is part of Operation Predator, a nationwide HSI initiative to protect children from sexual predators, including those who travel overseas for sex with minors, Internet child pornographers, criminal alien sex offenders and child sex traffickers. HSI encourages the public to report suspected child predators and any suspicious activity through its toll-free hotline at 1-866-DHS-2-ICE or by completing its online tip form. Both are staffed around the clock by investigators.
Suspected child sexual exploitation or missing children may be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, an Operation Predator partner, via its toll-free 24-hour hotline, 1-800-THE-LOST.
