FB Ovie Mughelli Visiting Dolphins
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Dolphins' new look offense won't be revealed for a few more months, but the team is still looking at players to plug in that new offense.
The Fins are bringing in fullback Ovie Mughelli in Wednesday night for a visit and workout with the team, according to NFL.com's Jason LaCanfora.
Mughelli is a true blocking fullback who can occasionally sneak out into the flat and catch a pass or two.
He's spent the last few years blasting open hole for Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner. With Mughelli in front of him, Turner ran for 1,699 yards in 2008, 871 yards in 2009 and 1,371 in 2010.
Mughelli only played in seven games in 2011 until he tore his medial collateral ligament in his knee. He'll be 32 this year, but if he's fully recovered could answer the call to open up the running game for Daniel Thomas and Reggie Bush.
