Fatal Hit & Run In South Beach
MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) - A man in South Beach was fatally struck early Saturday by a driver who police say fled the scene.
Police were on-scene investigating Saturday morning and had closed the westbound lanes of 5th Street between Michigan and Lenox.
No witnesses, as of Saturday afternoon, have come forward with any information.
It is believed that the victim of the accident was a middle-aged man.
Authorities have not released any information regarding the driver and are urging anyone that may have been in the area saw something to let authorities know.
