Fantasy Fest Comes To An End In Key West

KEY WEST (CBSMiami/AP) — Another Fantasy Fest has come and gone.
The 10-day Fantasy Fest costuming and masking festival is ending in Key West following its highlight, late-night parade featuring grand marshals who pioneered the Florida Keys' fight for marriage equality.
Aaron Huntsman and William Lee Jones launched a landmark challenge to Florida's same-sex marriage ban. They led Saturday's parade atop a "wedding cake" float surrounded by 33 other couples in wedding attire.

The procession drew more than 50,000 spectators and more than 40 motorized floats and costumed marching groups.
Some illustrated the festival theme, "Animeted Dreams & Adventures," inspired by Japanese anime and other animation. Standouts included a "Hello Kitty" parody and superhero ensemble.
Fantasy Fest 2015, themed "All Hallows Intergalactic Freak Show," is scheduled Oct. 23 through Nov. 1.
