Exclusive: Reporter Shares What He Says Is Proof Of Trump's Illegal Dealings In Cuba

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The reporter who wrote the bombshell report in Newsweek Magazine accusing Donald Trump of breaking the Cuban embargo told CBS4 he has proof.
"No. I never did business in Cuba. There's this guy who has very bad reputation as a reporter," Trump said following the report.
Investigative journalist Kurt Eichenwald's Newsweek article is causing major headaches for the Trump campaign, especially in South Florida.
Eichenwald quotes former Trump company execs who say that Trump was absolutely interested in doing business in Fidel Castro's Cuba, sending a team of consultants to the island in 1998 to scope it out.
"They met with government officials, financial people, business people," Eichenwald said.
Though Trump adamantly denies it, telling news outlets he "never did anything in Cuba. I never did a deal in Cuba.
"They did not end up doing a deal, but they'd already violate the embargo and pumped 10's of thousands of dollars into the Cuban economy in the process," Eichenwald said.
Eichenwald offered what he says is proof: an invoice from the consultant who worked on Trump's behalf.
"This is a man who willingly and knowingly broke the embargo and then for his own political purposes met with the Cuban exile community and lied to them," Eichenwald said.
