Exclusive: Colombian Nat'l Soccer Player Arrested In Miami Beach

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) -- A Colombian national soccer player is in trouble with the law - accused of domestic violence at a Miami Beach hotel.
Pablo Armero, 29, is charged with battery of the mother of his two children following an alleged incident at the Metropolitan Hotel at 2445 Collins Avenue on Tuesday.
According to his arrest report, police responded to the hotel after they had gotten several complaints about a couple staying in one of the rooms.
When officers entered that room, they found human hair on the hotel room floor and found a woman inside missing a portion of her hair, according to the report.
The woman, while crying, told police she had gone out drinking with Armero. When the couple returned to their hotel room, Armero got physical with her after she rejected his advances, according to the report.
At some point in the altercation, she told police, Armero "grabbed a hotel hair clipper, pulled off her extensions and forcefully began to trim her hair," the report states.
Armero argues she asked him to cut her hair.
When asked by police if she asked Armero to cut her hair, she started crying hysterically and said, "Why would I ask him to cut my hair?"
The victim told police there has been a history of domestic violence among them and that Tuesday's incident was too much for her.
Officers later arrested Armero and transported him to the TGK Correctional Facility in west Miami-Dade pending a hearing in bond court.
A hotel spokesman said no one at the hotel wanted to comment.
Armero - who also plays for a club team in his country - is known for his skills as a left back and midfielder and for scoring Colombia's first goal against Greece in its victory in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
