East Las Olas Bridge To Close Overnight
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- All lanes on the East Las Olas Boulevard Bridge will be closed Thursday night due to construction.
The lanes closures start at 9: 00 p.m. and last until 6:00 a.m. Friday.
All eastbound traffic will be detoured to Sunrise Boulevard via US 1. All westbound traffic will be detoured to Sunrise Boulevard via A1A.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), the closure is necessary for the contractor to paint the movable span of the bridge.
The work is part of the $5.8 million Las Olas Boulevard Bridge rehabilitation project.
