PEMBROKE PARK (CBSMiami) - Two people were rushed to the hospital after a shooting in Pembroke Park early Wednesday morning.
The Broward Sheriff's Office said they received word of a shooting at 4420 Hallandale Beach Boulevard just after 4 a.m.
When deputies arrived they found two people with gunshot wounds in front of a strip mall. A dozen or so bullet casings littered the parking lot and the windows of several cars had been shot out.
Megan Moore, one of the victim's friends, said he was playing pool at Willy's Bar. She said her friend went outside just after 4 AM—and that's when bullets started flying.
"Sounded like firecrackers," Moore said. "Everybody panicked when they heard the shots."

Moore said it was "chaos" after the bullets rang out. She said her friend was hit near his hip area but that he's expected to be okay.
"There was a lot of blood, a lot of blood but he was okay though, he was calm with it," she said.
The injured people were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital, no word on their conditions.
The sheriff's department searched the surrounding are by air and by ground for the shooter but came up empty.
Concerned relatives showed up on the scene.
"Just want to know what's going on—is he all right? That's all," Deon Robinson said.
BSO collected evidence and interviewed witnesses, hoping for a lead.
