Dolphins To Play Raiders In London In 2014
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The Miami Dolphins will have one long flight for a road game next season when they travel to Wembley Stadium in London to play the Oakland Raiders.
The Dolphins vs. Raiders game in London will be one of three NFL games played in London next year. The other two games will feature the Atlanta Falcons playing the Detroit Lions and the Jacksonville Jaguars playing the Dallas Cowboys.
"With our historically strong following internationally, the Dolphins are proud to once again represent the league abroad as one of the six participants of the 2014 International Series," stated Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross. "The opportunity to again connect with our many fans overseas and to expose a growing global audience to the sport we all love is something that our entire organization will fully embrace."
The Dolphins last played in London during the nightmare 2007 season when the team won just one regular season game all season and will be the third game the Fins have played outside the U.S.
If you include preseason games, the Fins have played international games a total of six times.
No dates have been announced for the 2014 London games, but Oakland will be designated as the home team by the NFL.
