Dolphins Sign Veteran Offensive Lineman Jeff Linkenbach

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – One of the Miami Dolphins main goals this offseason was to improve the team's offensive line.
While the Dolphins seem to be set at the two tackle positions with Branden Albert and Ja'Wuan James, and at center with Mike Pouncey, the two guard spots are up in the air.
Former draft picks Billy Turner and Dallas Thomas are currently penciled in as the starters at guard, but neither has done much when given the opportunity to play.
That being the case, Miami has been looking to add depth to the position in hopes of finding the right combination to keep Ryan Tannehill off the turf.
The Dolphins took another step towards achieving that goal on Wednesday when the team signed veteran offensive lineman Jeff Linkenbach to a one-year deal.
One of the things that Miami liked about Linkenbach is that he can play anywhere on the line.
The 27-year-old has played five years in the NFL after being signed as an undrafted free agent by the Indianapolis Colts.
He spent four years with the Colts before signing with the Kansas City Chiefs prior to last season.
Linkenbach started three games at guard for the Chiefs in 2014. He's appeared in 76 games during his NFL career, including 36 starts.
