Dolphins' Sign Ex-Broncos Defensive Lineman Ronald Fields
MIAMI CBS4) - The Miami Dolphins have picked up a defensive lineman from the Broncos.
On Sunday the team announced they had signed Ronald Fields who has played for Denver for the last two years. Fields, who is 6' 2" at more than 300 pounds, has played in 81 games, with 25 starts in his seven year career. Fields has played in all 16 games in four seasons and has one career sack. He originally was a fifth round selection (137th overall) by the Francisco 49ers in the 2005 NFL Draft.
Fields started 36 games at Mississippi State University where he finished his collegiate career with 172 tackles (72 solo), one sack, 16.5 tackles for losses, one fumble recovery and two forced fumbles. Born September 13, 1981, Fields attended Bogalusa High School in Bogalusa, Louisiana, where he was a Class 4A all-district selection as a senior.
