Dolphins May Face League Fine

MIAMI (CBS4) - In a recent article from CBSMiami.com news partner the Miami Herald, Dolphins quarterback talked about working with new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. The only problem is that without a CBA, the Dolphins were breaking the rules and now they may have to pay.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Tuesday that the Dolphins are one of five teams that are under investigation for breaking the rules on contact between players and coaches. The Fins could have to pay a fine for the illegal contact.

Last month the NFL said it wasn't expecting to carry out any disciplinary action. But, NFL counsel Jeffrey Pash said that one team in South Florida may have crossed the line.

According to the Herald, Article XXXV of the former CBA (which was in place until March 4 states, "players are not permitted to participate in organized workouts, practices or meetings of any kind."
