Dolphins Desperation: Sign QB J.P. Losman
MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – The Miami Dolphins are now beyond desperate at the quarterback position.
The Dolphins announced Tuesday that they have signed J.P. Losman and placed Sage Rosenfels on reserve/non-football illness list.
Losman was a first-round pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2004. Since then, he's failed to live up to expectations and has thrown exactly one pass, which was incomplete, in the past two NFL seasons.
Losman has thrown more interceptions (34) than he has touchdowns (34) in his career. The former Bill has also been sacked 103 in 43 games.
The former first round pick spent five seasons in Buffalo, one in Oakland, and last year was a member of the Seattle Seahawks.
Losman will likely become the primary back-up to starter Matt Moore.
