Tropical Depression Gabrielle Dissipates
MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Tropical Depression Gabrielle has dissipated, according to the National Weather Service.
As of 11:00 p.m., the poorly organized storm's maximum sustained winds are near 30 mph and has degenerated to a remnant low pressure area as the center moved over the Dominican Republic.
Gabrielle is centered about 30 miles north-nothwest of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and is moving northwest at 9 mph.
There are no coastal warnings or watches in effect.
The storm is expected to bring 2 to 4 inches of rain to parts of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands. Up to 8 inches of rain is possible in areas of mountainous terrain which could cause dangerous flash floods and mud slides.
