Dion Jordan Returns To Practice For Fins
DAVIE (CBSMiami) - Miami Dolphins fans can exhale a bit because rookie defensive end Dion Jordan returned to practice Tuesday after sitting out much of the last two weeks.
Jordan has been nursing a shoulder injury which he had operated on last winter. He's missed two straight exhibition games and almost all of the last two weeks of practice.
Still, the fact that Jordan was on the field Tuesday improves his chances of playing in the season opening game next week.
Jordan has said he wouldn't be surprised if he was held out of the season-opening game against the Cleveland Browns on September 8.
Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin hasn't said how limited Jordan was in practice Tuesday, but did speak highly of the rookie's performance.
Jordan was the Dolphins' first-round draft pick this year. The team traded up to number three overall to select the fleet-footed defensive end out of Oregon.
