But for all you cookie monsters out there, be prepared to shell out $4.00 per box.
The Girl Scouts are also making it easier for folks to find and buy their coveted cookies with their cookie locator. The annual cookie sale is part of a big business for the Girl Scouts. Revenue from the sale makes up a large part of the yearly budget, so every cookie counts. The program is the largest girl-led business in the country and generates over $700 million for girls and communities across the country.
Did you know the company that makes Girl Scout cookies, Little Brownie, bakes over 4.5 million Thin Mints per day during peak baking times.
Girl Scout Cookies are also among the most requested items for women and men serving in our armed forces. Since the program began in 2009, more than 160,000 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies have been donated locally as part of the Cookies for the Military Campaign. You can donate online anytime or in person.
In Miami-Dade, the annual Girl Scout cookie sale runs from January 16th to February 17th. In Broward County, the cookie sale runs from January 23rd to February 16th.
