POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami) - Tri-Rail travelers may have to deal with more delays Friday as crews work to make repairs after a train derailed the day before in Pompano Beach.

Chopper4 was over the scene Friday as crews worked on the track during the early morning hours. It appears they were only using one track for the northbound/southbound services causing some delays.

The train derailed Thursday morning just North of Mcnab Road and south of the Cypress Creek station. Forty people were on board at the time. One person was injured.

The crew reportedly struck debris on the tracks, causing the derailment but the cause is still under investigation.

Pompano Beach Fire officials said there was also a diesel spill from the engine of the train. It was later contained.
