Police Identify Man Found Shot To Death On Transit Bus
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami police have identified the man who was found shot to death on a transit bus.
Police say he is 33-year-old Brandon Bennett.
Police say they received a call around 7 p.m. Wednesday night regarding a man in his 20's found unresponsive on a bus in the area of the NW 36th Street and 30th Avenue in Allapattah.
Miami Fire Rescue arrived on the scene and declared the man deceased. It was determined he had been shot.
CBS4's Brooke Shafer spoke to Yvette Navarro, who was at the scene, "First you see the bus and then you see all the swarm of cops coming."
Navarro says she was leaving work at Estrella Insurance on Northwest 36 Street when she witnessed the commotion.
"We didn't hear any shots...this here is very calm."
According to the family of the victim, they claim the man was shot in the back of the head when he got off the bus.
Miami police could not confirm whether Bennett was getting on or off the bus when someone noticed him unresponsive.

Police are looking at surveillance video on the bus to try and figure out what happened.
