Deadly Overnight Shooting In NW Miami

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Police have identified a man who was shot and killed overnight in NW Miami.
When officers arrived at 7801 NW 4th Avenue around 3:30 a.m. they found Jamel Flosona lying in the street suffering from several gunshot wounds.
"I heard pop, pop, pop, I wake up, come out and see the police," said a person who lives in the area.
Flosana was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
"We have very little information as to what was behind this shooting but we can say that that man was shot multiple times," said police spokeswoman Kenia Fellat.
Investigators said they combed the area for clues but what they really need are leads provided by someone who may have saw something.
"This is an area where not just cars are continuously driving up and down but there are also a lot people that are walking up and down," said Fellat. "People that perhaps may know what happened this morning are the ones that we need to receive calls from."
Police are also hoping surveillance cameras from nearby businesses captured something that will help them.
"There's nothing that we have at this time, we don't know if the gunman was on foot if he fled in a car, or if it's even a she at this time," said Fellat. "We have nothing to go on at this point."
