Police Hunt For Suspects In Deadly Miramar Home Invasion
MIRAMAR (CBS4) – A home invasion robbery turned deadly in Miramar Tuesday evening, now police are asking for the public's help in finding those responsible.
Miramar police said 33-year old Raymond Adderly Jr. was returning from a Christmas party around 9 p.m. when he was ambushed outside his home on Sherman Circle by several people. Adderly, a father of three, was then forced into the house where he was killed.
"We are looking for several individuals that fled in a vehicle," police spokeswoman Tania Rues said. "The suspects had their faces partially covered. It is an ongoing case, not a random act. Someone out there knows something."
Police said there were several other people inside the home at the time of the robbery, but they were not injured.
Adderly's neighbors said he was an aspiring artist and they often saw people coming and going from his home which made them think he was in the music business.
"I do know he was involved in the music industry," said neighbor Tiffany Douglas. "There were always CD release cars."
"You know, these Miami cars that have Flo Rida on them or it would just a Rick Ross picture. It would be Miami party cars," said Tiffany Roberts.
Police have confirmed Adderly had close ties with well-known rapper Rick Ross. According to his family, Adderly helped promote Ross and was involved in the rap music industry.
Rodnika Beaslui, who knew Adderly by his nickname 'Peanut', was friends with his wife Tamika.
"I ain't talked to her since yesterday, I tried but they wouldn't let me," said Beaslui.
"It hurts, I still don't believe it, it's unbelievable," said neighbor Rodinka Beasley.
