BOULDER, Colo. (CBSMiami/AP) — A 22-year old man from Fort Lauderdale was found dead in a Colorado resort after apparently hitting a tree while skiing.
The Boulder County coroner identified him Thursday as Robert Miles of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is a student at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
His body was found Monday night after a friend reported him missing. Sheriff's deputies found his car in the Eldora Ski Resort's parking lot and ski patrollers later found his body just off a ski run.
Coroner Emma Hall says an autopsy has been completed but the official cause and manner of Miles' death are still being evaluated.
The Daily Camera reports that Miles was a senior studying environmental engineering and music. He played the bassoon and was well-liked by fellow members of his engineering fraternity.
