Davie Man Charged With Child Porn Involving 8 Year Old

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - A Davie delivery man has been ordered held on more than $300 thousand bond after he appeared in court Wednesday morning on child pornography charges, including counts involving an 8 year old granddaughter of a neighbor.

Davie Police said they began their investigation of Eduardo Macho after a neighbor complained Macho had given the 8-year-old a picture showing an adult and a child having sex.

Police served a search warrant on Macho's home July 24th, and during the search police claim they found more than 100 child porn images on Macho's computer and in printouts.

Police said Macho admitted the images were his, and said he used them for masturbation.

Police charged him with 31 counts of possession of child pornography, but at his bond hearing Wednesday, disturbing new allegations were revealed.

"One of the girls said on one occasion the defendant lifted her dress to look at her underwear and her sister said he touched her in a private area," said Judge John Hurley, as he read from the arrest affidavit. "And he exposed himself outside his shorts."

Based partly on that, the court said Macho posed a danger to the community amd ordered him held on $310 thousand bond. Should he make bond, the court ordered him tracked with a GPS monitor and prohibited him from having contact with anyone under the age of 18.

No one answered the door at Macho's mobile home Wednesday afternoon, but neighbors say Macho has always been polite and low key.

"He always waved hello, very nice, you never know who lives next door," said Beth Hassert.

But her mother Alice Yates says she's concerned because of all the little children in the neighborhood.
