Davie Man Arrested With Hundreds Of Child Porn Images
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A Davie man was arrested Monday by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement on 144 counts of possession of child pornography.
Orville H. Bullitt, 44, was arrested in Osceola County, where he was living. Bullitt has also lived in Miami Shores, Davie, Pembroke Pines, and North Miami.
According to the FDLE, Bullitt became a child porn suspect during an undercover investigation by FDLE's Cyber High Tech Crime Squad. Agents involved in the investigation were able to trace images that had been shared online back to Bullitt's home computer.
"The images found showed child victims in various sexual depictions," said Addy Villanueva of the FDLE.
FDLE agents then searched Bullitt's home on the 7000 block of NW 12th Street in Pembroke Pines and found a total of 144 images of child pornography. Agents immediately became concerned there may be other victims who have had contact with Bullitt.
"We found other images that are unrelated to the 144 images that he's currently charged with," said Will Hernandez of the FDLE. "And in those are leading use to believe there are other victims here. Possibly in here in South Florida. Our experience has shown that people who typically own child pornography tend to be hands on offenders."
FDLE said if you had any information on any possible victims of Bullitt, contact the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST.
"The crimes committed by Bullit are unspeakable and unforgivable," said Villanueva. "So I'm asking the public to take a really good look at this individual. He doesn't have a profession. He's not currently working that we know of. How he sustains himself, we just don't know."
Bullitt remains in the Osceola County jail with a bond set at $1.44 million.
