Davie Bank Robbed 2nd Time This Year

DAVIE (CBSMiami) – For the second time this year, a Regent's bank branch in Davie has been robbed.

Monday morning around 10:15 a.m. a man walked into the bank at 2205 South University Drive and demanded money from a bank employee. After being given and undisclosed amount of cash, the man ran out of the bank.

Arriving police sealed off the strip shopping center where the bank is located and check in and under all the vehicles in the lot to no avail.  The FBI has released a surveillance camera picture of the robber in hopes that someone recognizes him and gives them a call.

The bank was also robbed on January 6th by a man suspected of robbing more than half a dozen banks in Broward. No arrests have been made in that case either.

Anyone with information on any of the robberies is urged to call the FBI at (305) 944-9101.
