Dangerous Debris Pierces Car Windshield On I-95
DEERFIELD BEACH (CBSMiami) – A case of dangerous road debris caused an accident on I-95 in Hallandale Beach Thursday.
It happened in the southbound lanes of the interstate at SW 10th Street.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 15-foot long wooden beam flew off the back of a pickup truck. The piece of wood bounced on the roadway and then pierced the windshield of Jeannot Menelas' car which was driving behind the truck.
Menelas suffered minor injuries and was transported to Broward Health North.
The driver of the pick-up truck, Kenrick Shazad Bhola was charged with failure to secure load/dropping load.
