D Wade Out For Sunday Night's Pistons Game
MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — Dwyane Wade will be watching the Heat's Sunday night game against the Detroit Pistons from the bench.
Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said Wade tweaked his right ankle while missing a dunk Friday night in a loss to Memphis. Wade was on the floor when Miami was shooting during practice Saturday, and Spoelstra indicated the team waited until about two hours before game time to make the decision.
It's the 11th game Wade has missed this season with various injuries. The Heat entered 9-1 without him in the lineup. Because of the ankle soreness, he's listed as day-to-day and will be evaluated again before Tuesday's game at home against Boston.
Meanwhile, Mike Miller was available to play Sunday for the first time since spraining his left ankle on March 10.
