MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Authorities are looking for two men who fired several shots before attempting to rob a bank in Miami.
It happened Friday at the Regions Bank located at 2700 N.E. 7th Street just minutes before closing, around 5:50 p.m.
Miami Police said after the men parked outside the bank, the driver got out and stood at the ATM inside the enclosed lobby.
The passenger, who was armed, then exited the vehicle, fired several shots into the air and shouted that he was going to rob the place.
Alarmed and frightened customers took cover while one quick-acting employee was able to lock the front door before the men could get inside.
The crooks then fled.
They are described as latin males in their 20's. One of them had a single diamond stud earring.
If you recognize the suspect, there's a cash reward for information leading his capture, along with his accomplice. Call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
